Office of Global Learning
The Office of Global Learning was founded in 1936 as the International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) to assist international students, academic staff, and their families. The office provides advice concerning US federal immigration and tax and labor regulations, as well as counseling on personal, academic, and cultural matters. The Office of Global Learning website is full of useful information regarding the F1 and J1 visa, housing arrangements, student life at Cornell, and more.

Incoming undergraduate international students are strongly encouraged to arrive in Ithaca four days before New Student Orientation in order to participate in PREPARE, the international pre-orientation program. This program provides travel-weary students with an early start on their Cornell experience. During these four days, participants will not only have access to resources to meet the challenges of adjusting to college life in the US, but will also have the opportunity to make new friends with students from all over the world.
The PREPARE Program is hosted and funded by the Office of Global Learning. For more information, contact our office at email@example.com.
There are many more resources available to international students on campus! Feel free to seek them yourself or ask us for guidance.
